The 101st Police Academy graduation ceremonies on August 21 featured 17 graduates at Hocking College.

The Basic Police Academy from the School of Health & Safety featured 600-plus hours of comprehensive training. Roger Deardorff, the Commander, was joined by President, Dr. Betty Young, and Dr. Bonnie Allen Smith, Dean.

Mitchel Reffett, from Vinton County, won the Clyde Beasley Award for service. He also won an award for perfect attendance. The Shirley Jeffers Award was presented to Jarrid Daily.

The graduates are: Brannon Akire, Elijah Bishop, Jarrid Daily, Ryan Dengate, Cody Gilbraith, Kody Hawk, Corey Jackson, Christopher Jones, Jesse Leon, Andrew Pazos, Mitchel Reffett, Matthew Sheerer, Timothy Thompson, Tre Wallace, Hartward Wasson, Brian Wilson, and Logan Wisecarver.
