The Hocking College Logan branch held the American Concrete Institute Review and Exam for Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I on May 11 and 12.
A Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete.
In the past years, students in Industrial Ceramics, Architectural and Mechanical Design, Construction Management, Heavy Equipment Management, & GeoEnvironmental Sciences have taken the review and exam. Many have taken jobs after passing the test.
This certification program is just one step for employees in the industry. There is an increased need of certified employees right now and ACI can also offer jobs and entry to a full time position.
