On Saturday, April 18, 2015, the Hocking College Fitness Management class of 2015 hosted the third annual Pump & Run.
There were 42 participants in the race. For the first part of the event, participants went to the Multiplex to lift a max of thirty-repetitions, with the weight based on their age and weight. Each completed repetition took ten seconds off the participant's run time. After the lift the participants went outside for the one and a half mile run.
After the race the Fitness Management class determined two overall winners and five winners that placed in their age group. The two overall winners were Shauna Kaufman and Austin Rich.
The award for most participants from a program was given to the Fitness Management program for the third year with 13 participants.
The Fittest of the Fit is an award for the person who participated and placed in two events including the Pump 'N Run, the Hocktoberfest 5k and the Twelfth Annual Weightlifting Competition. For the Fittest of the Fit award, Shad Hines placed first for males and Austin Rich placed second; for females Kara Hall Whiteman placed first and Cassandra Brown placed second.
