Hocking College students participated in a prescribed burn in late November at Lake Snowden.
Prescribed burns are a tool in natural resources used to achieve forest management objectives such as: natural regeneration, competition control, hazard reduction and habitat manipulation.
Hocking College Wildland Fire students, led by Natural Resources instructor Mark Pyhl, were able to utilize this tool at Lake Snowden in a controlled burn of prairie grassland.
