The opportunity to make a positive impact is in your hands - or on your bookshelf - through Better World Books and their Books for Africa project. Every time you donate a book to the drive, you help literacy worldwide.
This year's drive is Oct 6 - 24, 2014. All books are accepted for the drive whether current or out of date (including textbooks and encyclopedias.) Please NO periodicals (e.g. magazines, journals or newspapers.)
Six dropbox are locationed on campus:
- OAK 312 (Arts, Business and Sciences office)
- DVD first floor (inside the Library)
- DVD third floor lounge (near the steps and elevator)
- PSS 101 (near Betty Dalton`s office)
- NNR 204 (just outside 202 main office area)
- JL 241 (inside HR office)
Help is also needed to count, pack and strap up boxes of books for shipping each Friday afternoon. If you or your service group are interested, please contact Carla Ryan-Hirst.
