The Hocking College Police Department has charged the alleged victim of a recent assault on Hocking College Main Campus on February 10, 2014. 

Although the investigation is still ongoing, the alleged victim was charged with “Making False Alarm” and “Inducing Panic,” and released.  The two charges are misdemeanors.  She plead no contest on February 14 in Athens County Municipal Court and was found guilty on both charges.

A second assault was reported to have occurred with a similar description on February 8 in the vicinity of campus, with a different alleged victim. The Nelsonville Police Department is still investigating the second alleged assault.
