The Hocking College Geology Club has been very busy recently, helping clean up the community.
On September 28, several club members assisted the Friends of the Hocking River Fall River Sweep. By canoe, the Geology Club retrived 14 tires, miscellaneous debris and at least 10 bags of trash in and along the Hocking River (between SR 664 and SR 93) in Logan.
On October 3, the Geology Club conducted an ODOT Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up event. The club's adopted two mile section of road is SR 691 just south of campus. They filled 25 large trash bags during the clean up. Thanks to the Geology Club for their work in the community!
