The Nursing Pinning Ceremony for summer nursing graduates was held Friday, August 9, 2013 in the Student Center. There were 16 LPN graduates and 43 RN graduates for the Summer term. Graduates Jamie Figley (PN) and Emily Hendrickson (RN) spoke on behalf of their group, then each graduate was pinned by a member of the nursing faculty. The graduates ended the ceremony by reciting the International Nursing Pledge. The pinning ceremony is an old tradition marking the graduate's official beginning of their professional nursing career.
