The Hocking College Foundation and the family of Beth McKenzie will host “Frank and Dean…and then some!” comedy show on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Stuart’s Opera House to benefit the Dr. Beth A. McKenzie Student Support Fund at Hocking College.
A dedicated employee of Hocking College for 22 years, McKenzie rose to all challenges, even in the face of adversity, and worked tirelessly to help students achieve their dreams. On June 12, 2012, McKenzie lost her courageous battle with cancer.
Because of McKenzie's passion for and dedication to Hocking College and its students, a memorial student support fund was established in her name. The Student Support Fund is dedicated to assisting students who face financial hardships on their path toward graduation.
The goal is to raise at least $3,500 at the event to be added to the $5,000 already in the fund. The family of Beth McKenzie hopes to continue to raise money and hold a benefit each June.
The show “Frank and Dean…and then some!” incorporates the fun, jokes and timeless music of The Rat Pack. Tickets are available, with special pricing for the show and a Rhapsody dinner package, on the Stuart’s Opera House website at stuartsoperahouse.org.
Anyone who cannot attend the show, but would like to contribute to the fund, should make a check payable to Hocking College Foundation, with “Dr. Beth McKenzie Memorial Student Support Fund” in the memo and mail it to Hocking College Foundation, 3301 Hocking Parkway, Nelsonville, OH 45764.
