The Hocking College Logan Campus will offer "CM 1112 - Fire Alarm Systems " for four credits over the summer.  This course provides an introduction to fire alarm systems, and is especially geared for electricians and maintenance technicians to learn updates in alarm technology.  

The course focuses on the theory, codes, design, and installation methods. Topics cover include: types of fire alarm systems; initiating devices; notification devices; fire safety functions; power supplies; signals and signaling; public fire alarm systems; fire alarm system wiring; communication methods for fire alarm systems; and fire alarm system testing, inspections and service. Course fees are $80.
