Hocking College students Christy Hillyard, Liana Deeter, and Patricia Menke spent their spring break at the Phi Theta Kappa Ohio Region Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio representing the Hocking College Chapter Alpha Mu Delta.
Phi Theta Kappa is the Honor Society of two-year colleges. Their mission is to recognize students who exemplify their standards of scholarship, leadership and service, while offering opportunities to help them grow.
Miss America 2000, Heather French Henry, provided the keynote address at the convention. She spoke on "The Culture of Competition," in resonance with the society's theme this year. Gold-medal-winning Olympian swimmer, Davis Tarwater, also spoke.
