The International Student Integration Team (ISIT) at Hocking College plans to host their first spring semester event this Friday, January 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center. “Just Desserts” is a potluck-style mixer that allows students to socialize and get to know others involved in ISIT
ISIT not only provides an opportunity for international students to feel more comfortable transitioning to their new home, it also gives American students the opportunity to learn about different cultures and meet people from various parts of the world.
While the program has many fun activities planned, such as trips to the Columbus Zoo and Ash Cave, ISIT also provides social work students the chance to obtain experience helping the international students with tasks such as finding apartments, obtaining driver’s licenses and visiting doctors.
