Members of Kappa Beta Delta (KBD), a business honor society at Hocking College, recently participated in three service activities to help spread cheer this holiday season.
Members provided residents at Kimberly Meadows, a senior apartment complex in Nelsonville, with a luncheon. While the residents enjoyed their food, the members decorated their Christmas tree and lobby.
KBD also donated food bags for the homeless in Hocking County. Finally, the last donation was to the Wesleyan Church in Nelsonville for their Outreach Program and kitchen. The church donates boxes of food and gifts to help families in need for their holidays. This was especially in memory of Debby Steenrod, a graduate of the Hocking College Office Management Program who recently passed away. She was the secretary at the church.
The members sold poinsettias to raise funds for the Kappa Beta Delta members to perform these service projects. Thank you to everyone for your support of Kappa Beta Delta.
Any Accounting, Business Management, or Office Management student that wants to learn more about Kappa Beta Delta should contact chapter adviser Barbara Sunderlin at 740.753.7157.
