From November 4 - 6, 2011, Art, Design and Marketing program instructors Brian Alloway and Mark Hackworth took a group of nine students to the Sculptural Objects and Functional Art (SOFA) show at the Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois.
SOFA is billed as the "World's Foremost Fairs of Contemporary Arts & Design." SOFA CHICAGO, now in its 18th year, features more than 60 international art galleries and dealers presenting museum-quality masterworks of art and design for sale.
"SOFA was an amazing trip. We all benefited from the exposure and it opened our eyes to the possibilities of sculptural art. It was truly inspiring," Mary Vandeman, Art, Design and Marketing student, said.
