Mike Brooks, Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Brands Inc. in Nelsonville, Ohio, has been appointed by Governor John Kasich to the Hocking College Board of Trustees.
The position on the Board has been vacant since the resignation of Steve Swart, former CEO of Doctors Hospital, in June 2010. Brooks will fulfill the remainder of the three-year term vacated by Swart, from February 24, 2011 through August 26, 2011. The Hocking College Board is comprised of three Governor appointees.
As a native Nelsonville resident, Brooks is extremely committed to the Athens County community. The addition of the Hocking College Board trusteeship further exemplifies this dedication.
“I am delighted to serve Hocking College as a trustee. I believe I can help the College grow and prosper. It is such a vital part of Nelsonville and Southeastern Ohio, and plays a critical role in educating people throughout the region,” Brooks said.
